Larry Birkhead is the babydaddy! What crazy news! Oh my god, I'm going to put my life on hold to celebrate for that lil baby girl!
Okay, maybe not but it's amazing how many people are talking about it. It's like the O.J. case, they make it part of their lives, or the little pagent queen JonBennett, that was murdered in her home, or Jeffrey Dahmer. Why is it that we cling to trauma like that, to pure drama. We HAVE to know who did it, why they did it, how they did it, who the daddy is... as if it's going to effect our own lives. Just interesting to me how much time we dedicate to these things. If we dedicated that much time and effort to our personal life, or making the lives of others around us better, we'd live in a completely different world. (obviously)
Do I participate? Sure, a little. I'm not going to sit in front of the TV instead of going outside and helping my daughter learn to ride her bike. No way. It's all about wanting, needing justice. Isn't it? Or is it our perception of justice?
We were talking at lunch yesterday about he Constitution. This damn thing was written for what, a couple thousand people? And now look at us... how many millions and millions of people exist in this country? And we still abide by the Constitution. It still works. Sure there have been amendments, but those guys sure did know what the hell they were thinking when they sat around a table and wrote that sucker. That's impressive work. I would have waiting anxiously for that to come out, maybe even skipping that whole bike thing to be introduced to a document that works for all the people, no matter how MANY there are.
Funny the way the world works, no? Or maybe it's just funny how our little world works.

Deep! Good thought process though. Very thought provoking.
